Ladies Day 2012 – Cheltenham Festival

One of the most prestigious events in the National Hunt Racing’s calendar, Cheltenham Festival annually features some of the best British and Irish trained horses and it’s grand prize is second only to the Grand National.

Ladies Day at the races is one of the most popular days of the event – with the ladies getting as much coverage as the on-field action! The ladies enjoy betting on competitions such as the Queen Mother Steeple Chase, where the top two mile chasers compete with each other around the track to see who comes out on top!

Without further ado, let’s join the colourful and flamboyant ladies for a day of giggles, glamour and glasses of champagne as they compete for prizes and awards in the highly coveted fashion awards!

Regal Ladies – Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne were both sporting fabulous fur trimmed hats, while Zara Phillips went for the more floral approach.
Best Dressed – The prize this year went to Margaret Connolly for her 1950s inspired Lilli Ann dress and coat, the same outfit that won her the Hennessy Best Dressed Lady competition just a few weeks ago.
Although only a few prizes were given, the turnout of style and glamour was absolutely breath-taking! Here are my favourites from this years Ladies Day, I take my hat off to you ladies!

Even the men looked absolutely spiffing!
