Panton FlowerPot Pendant Red

The absolute definition of the term ‘design icon’ within the lighting world has got to be this; the red Panton FlowerPot pendant lamp.  Utilising classically simplistic geometric lines, the red Flower Pot light was designed in 1969 by Verner Panton, and looks as contemporary today as it did when first created.

The real acid test in defining design icons is assessing current day usage, and indeed the Panton red FlowerPot pendant lamp remains as desirable & sought after now as it ever was.

When designing, Verner Panton didn’t see limitations in material; he realised possibilities.  The enjoyment he derived from experimenting and pushing boundaries of form and materials is apparent in all of his designs, and this is passed on to us as owners.
