South Korean designer, Min Su Kim, has created a robot beggar named DONA.
This little Red Robot, DONA («donation motivating») uses it's cute, and characterful nature to attract attention and interact with potential donors. This use of technology combined with the wow factor and interaction suggests a much higher response to the donating process and eradicates awkward donation dodging with people in the street.
This robot is designed to raise money for various charitable projects. Min Su Kim, establishing DONA in various busy spots, put together information boards explaining what exactly the donations by people will be funding.
Dona is fitted with motorised wheels so that it has the capability of sourcing it's donors in a crowded environment.
Wouldn't want to run the risk of stepping on this little fella though!
