The bookend is concealed within the cover of the first book in the stack (we recommend using a hardcover book as it needs to support the rest). Once your first book is secure, you can lean a few additional books on it. But be careful not to overload! This bookend is intended for a limited amount of books (5-8, depending on the books’ size) and we’d hate to hear that these two runners end up flatter than a pancake!
